The professor apologizes to Meloni for the threats to his daughter: "Stupid gesture but never with this government"

"It was a stupid gesture, written on impulse. I apologize for the content of the post: you never wish death, especially to a child. But I do not withdraw my political ideas: I do not feel represented by this government". Stefano Addeo , a German teacher at a high school in the province of Naples, apologizes to Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni for the post about his daughter Ginevra (“ I wish her the same fate as the girl from Afragola ”, 14-year-old Martina Carbonaro , killed by her ex-boyfriend).
Interviewed by Roma Online after the case reported on social media by Fratelli d'Italia that sparked bipartisan indignation. "I realize the gravity of the matter - adds Addeo - but I have never done politics in class. My students love me. I hate all forms of violence, I love animals, I do volunteer work. It was a mistake".
The teacher reports having received "death threats, insults and tomatoes thrown at the windows of his house": "I filed a complaint with the postal police. I did not delete the post out of fear, but because I realized on my own that it was wrong". And he then turned to the Minister of Education, Giuseppe Valditara : "I do not accept - he concludes - that a teacher must blindly share the ideas of the government to be considered worthy of his role".
Many messages of solidarity have arrived for Meloni, from the presidents of the Chamber and Senate to the phone call from the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella , from members of her government and from all the opposition parties. Even the Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi has received an attack on social media against his daughters: "You see that you too steal money and food from our children. So I confirm the wish for yours too", wrote the author of the post adding the names of the two girls. Bipartisan solidarity has also been expressed towards the head of the Viminale.
